Frequently asked questions

Orders, delivery, returns, the pieces themselves, and us.

Orders

Can I change or cancel an order? Yes, if it has not been dispatched. Reply to your confirmation email as soon as you can. Once you have a dispatch email the parcel is with the carrier and the only route is a return.

Can I order something that is out of stock? Add your email to the waitlist on the product page. We write to everyone on it the morning the next firing lands, usually every three to four weeks. The waitlist does not reserve a piece or take payment — stock goes to whoever orders first.

Do you restock everything? Core pieces yes. Seasonal glazes are made once and not repeated.

Delivery

How fast is delivery? UK standard is 2–3 working days and free over $60. Next day is $7.95 if you order before 2pm. Europe is 3–6 working days, rest of world 6–12.

Do you ship internationally? Yes, worldwide. Import duty and VAT are charged by the destination country and are the recipient's responsibility.

Returns

What is your return window? 30 days from delivery, unused and in its original packaging.

Who pays for return shipping? We do for anything faulty, damaged or sent in error. Change-of-mind returns cost $4.95, deducted from the refund.

Something arrived broken. Send a photo of the piece and the box within 14 days. Replacement or full refund, and please recycle the broken piece rather than posting it back.

The pieces

Is the stoneware dishwasher safe? Yes, and microwave safe, and oven safe to 220°C. Avoid moving a piece from fridge to hot oven.

Why does my bowl look different from the photograph? Because it was dipped by hand. Glaze thickness varies, and thickness decides colour. Pieces vary within a range we are happy with; if yours falls outside it, send a photo and we will replace it.

Why is the bottom rough? The foot ring is left unglazed so the piece can stand up in the kiln. Use a mat on a lacquered table.

How do I wash the linen? 30°C gentle, no bleach, no fabric softener. Softener stops linen absorbing.

About us

Where is everything made? Stoneware in Stoke-on-Trent, linen in Porto from Norman and Belgian flax, walnut in Devon. Nothing outside Europe.
